The spring-harvested leaves give this a clean, vegetal base that lets the jasmine blossom shine through without being overpowering. I've been brewing it in the evening and the hand-rolled pearls release their fragrance slowly over three infusions.
The hand-rolled pearls unfurl beautifully in the cup, and the jasmine scent is delicate rather than overpowering. I brewed a second steep and it was still fragrant, which surprised me for a green tea.
I’m normally a green tea purist, but these hand-rolled pearls have won me over—the jasmine scent is delicate, not perfumey, and it lingers nicely in the cup after the third steep. The spring-harvest leaves give a smooth, almost creamy finish that I didn’t expect.
