The loose leaves smell like brown sugar before they even hit the water, and the malty richness comes through exactly as described. I've had other second flush Assams, but this one's sweetness feels more refined, less harsh. A solid caddy for daily brewing.
The loose leaf brew comes out a deep amber with that brown sugar sweetness in the steam, and the malty body holds up well even after it cools a bit. Mine arrived with a slightly crushed corner on the caddy box, but the tea itself is spot on for a second flush.
